Holy major update Batman!

Ok... where the heck did I leave off? Yikes.

Well, little man is here. Thank god, if I was still pregnant there would be major major issues!

We had a tornado on June 1st hit my home town. It was scary as hell and I ended up in the hospital due to major contractions from anxiety. I was discharged though and then wound up back in the hospital for high blood pressure on the 16th. Again I was discharged. My water broke around 5pm on Friday June 17th, and we wound up right back in Labor and Delivery triage. Thankfully it was the real deal and I didn't just "pee myself" like so many stories I've heard. (Having your water break on your own I might add is the weirdest sensation, I literally felt like a water bubbler in my stomach! That and it never freaking stops gushing, ick!)

Because I was supposed to have a c-section on the 29th of June, I was obviously going to have to have it earlier. I ate lunch though and you are not supposed to have food in your system (not even water) x amount of hours before you go in for surgery. The hospital was very busy also, apparently there were a few c-sections before me.

On June 18th, I delivered a healthy, pink, 8lb 3oz, and 21 inches little boy at 12:08 in the morning. The c-section itself was very quick. The worst part of it all was probably the IV line and the spinal (they had to do it twice, and I made the mistake of looking at the needle). I cried as soon as I heard Lucas's beautiful cry and the first thing I saw of him was his full head of hair. He was a beautiful little boy!

Well on to the here and now. I lost almost 30lbs after having Lucas. I still have a ways to go because of my damn gestational diabetes making me bigger than a house! So I'm currently working on that slowly but surely. I'm using My Fitness Pal to track everything and I'll post a clicky to that some other time.

Other than that, Lucas has been growing into an adorable little boy. I've been trying to figure out ways to save money and find work without having to put him in daycare and going to work full time (uh... not that there are any jobs out there). I have my dental hygiene license! FINALLY! And my local anesthesia license. I'm picking up hours here and there, honestly it isn't much and most of the work I'm doing is at a pediatric office, and I really want to get my hands dirty in a perio office or something once in a while, just to keep my skills up.

So some things to look forward to in my blog:
Monthly Resolutions
Meal Planning Mondays
Weigh In Wednesdays
Awkward and Awesome Thursdays--- not my original idea!
Frugal Fridays

These may change so keep an eye out :3
